You have accomplished something remarkable! To duly honor the successful completion of your doctorate, we invite all graduates and their primary supervisors to the annual doctoral graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Arts. You will receive an invitation by email. Feel free to bring your guests and enjoy a well-deserved celebration!

Two dissertations receive special recognition once a year: through the Faculty Award for the “Best Dissertation” and the “drupa preis.” 

All dissertations that have been awarded the highest distinction, “summa cum laude,” are automatically nominated. From these, the Faculty Commission for the Promotion of Early-Career Researchers selects two particularly outstanding dissertations, which are then proposed to the Faculty Council for a vote. 

These dissertations have already been honored at our faculty (German only).
