Applications for scholarships to support women

Application for a scholarship to support women

The Equality Office of the Faculty of Arts supports female students and early-career female researchers at the Faculty of Arts through graduation and travel grants, as well as subsidies towards semester fees. Since 1 June 2025, holiday programmes during school holidays for the children of female students and early-career female researchers have also been funded. As the Equality Office, we see ourselves as gender-sensitive and inclusive.

Without the financial support from the Equal Opportunities Office, I would not have been able to attend a two-week course in Heidelberg, as the associated costs were too high. The course played a key role in enhancing my professional skills. The completion grant also enabled me to complete my PhD without any additional financial or psychological pressure. After my position as a research assistant came to an end, I was unemployed; given my existing health issues, it would have been very difficult for me to pursue other paid work whilst successfully completing my PhD.
