Room bookings

Rooms for classes are booked via the HHU electronic course catalogue (HIS) LSF. The LSF system works on the basis of various different “roles”, which are authorised to perform different tasks. The role of “lecturer” enables a person to edit classes, for which they are entered as the member of teaching staff, but not to book rooms or enter dates.

Date entries and room bookings can only be made by individuals with the roles of “room administrator” (only members of the Office of the Dean of Studies) and “department administrator” (usually one or two individuals per institute, chair or e.g. Collaborative Research Centre). Please therefore direct booking inquiries to these individuals.

You can find information on the various roles and their main functions in the LSF wiki. You can also find details about booking phases and other dates under “General information” (please note that both pages are only available in German).

All room bookings must comply with the rules defined by the Rectorate: Room bookings on the HHU campus (German only).

These rules set out binding specifications for booking phases, priorities and timeframes. If you have any questions or problems relating to bookings, we recommend that you refer to the rules mentioned above or contact the .

The would be pleased to help with all questions relating to booking rights, unsolvable room conflicts or difficulties in finding a suitable room. If you have any technical problems, please contact the LSF support team.

Important:

For events that are not to take place as part of university teaching on campus (e.g. congresses and conferences etc.), the event guidelines apply. Such events must be registered in good time with the HHU event coordinator by and approved by them.
